Author Guidelines



General requirements
Articles received are articles that have not been published in any journal in the form or not in status have been accepted (accepted) to be published
Articles in the form of results of community service that has relevance to the field of education, human resources development, human development and competitiveness of the nation, small and medium enterprises and Development of environmentally sound technologies.
The article is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the author stating that the written article is really his own work and does not contain plagiarism.
Writing system
Articles consist of 3000-5000 words, typed with space 1 in A4 size paper with Times New Roman letter size 11 and using body note. Posts that will be loaded in both Indonesian and English.
The composition of the article consists of: Title, Author Name, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions and References.
Article Writing Terms:
Title: a maximum of 15 words. Titles are typed in Times New Roman letters, 15 letters flat print left out.

Author name: or writers typed under the heading with Times New Roman fonts 10 bold, no titles and should not be abbreviated. Below the name written field of expertise, name of institution, address and email writer.

Abstract: no more than 300 words, written in English and Bahasa Indonesia, in a paragraph containing: purpose of devotion, the method of activity, and outcome of activities. Typed with Times New Roman font, single space, and italicized. Below the abstract there is a maximum of 5 words, separated by semicolons, typed double space under abstract.

Introduction: Introduction typed in capital letters [font Times New Roman 12 bold] contains backgrounds over issues, urgency and rationalization of activities, literature review, problem-solving plans, and purpose of activities [Times New Roman font, 11, normal]

Method: The research method explains about: the method of implementation used in the activities of dedication. The methods are described clearly and in detail [Times New Roman font, 11, Normal]

Results and Discussion: Explaining the outcome or outcome of service can be an increase in knowledge, skill or product. The results also reveal the level of achievement of the target activity. If in the form of objects there needs to be an explanation of product specification, its advantages and disadvantages. Output writing should include photos, charts, graphs, charts, drawings and more. The discussion is sequential in the order in which the objectives are, and it has been described first. The discussion is accompanied by a logical argument by linking the PkM results with theories, other PkM results and / or research results.

Conclusion: briefly written but illustrates the substance of the devotion and recommendations for subsequent service activities.

Reference List: The bibliography is based on the APA 5th (American Psychological Association) model. Very nested using Reference manager (end note, mendeley, zetero etc) to facilitate the editing and review. Referenced sources and at least 80% of the last 5 years of publications. [Times New Roman, 11, normal].

Conclusions and Suggestions: Conclusions contain brief summaries of research results and discussion. Conclusions are research findings in the form of answers to research questions or research objectives. The results of the study provide suggestions / contributions to the application and / or development of science. [Times New Roman, 11, normal].


Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

The articles published in Jurnal Pegabdian Masyarakat (JPKM)  are scientifically proved, which follow the code of ethics in scientific publication. The code of ethics it self-upholds three values of ethics in publications, namely, (1) Neutrality (free from conflicts of interest in public management). (2) Justice (giving the right of authorship to the beneficiary as the author). (3) Honesty (free from duplication, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism (DF2P) in the publication. The articles published also following certain procedures or orders, such as double-blind review and revision process that consistent with the journal’s regular review, to ensure that the quality is maintain properly.
